Mango mousse

Mango Mousse 3.JPG

This Yoom mango mousse is a full-flavor, bright colored and naturally sweet choice as a breakfast smoothie, after-school snack and/or delicious dessert. There is no added sugar in it. High in beta carotene and fibers, mangoes stimulate your metabolism, purify your liver, boost your energy levels and make for a great laxative (sorry, not super appetizing but important so we had to say it!). Note: If you feel bloated after this mango mousse, try this recipe without the yogurt. The combination of fruit & yogurt might not be working for you.

Serves 4  l  Difficulty: very easy  l  Prep time: 10min  l  Total time: 20min

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh & ripe mangoes or 1 cup of dried mangoes

  • 1 cup of yogurt (I use coconut yogurt)

Steps

  1. Cut fresh mangoes into small cubes ready to blend. If you’re using dried mangoes, soak mangoes into water until soft (usually takes ~20 min). Remove the pieces from the water and keep the water for later.

  2. Blend mango pieces in blender with yogurt until smooth and even in color.

  3. If you want a more runny mousse to drink as smoothie, then add water to reach the consistency that you’d like.

  4. Enjoy at room temperature.
