Almond milk sleep tonic

This Yoom almond milk sleep tonic is a remedy for better sleep. To be enjoyed as part of your evening routine (read: The Secrets to Better Sleep), the combination of almonds, sweet dates, ghee and raw honey nourish our bodies which are, at the end of the day, very often depleted from the day’s stress, poor diet and irregular routine. Saffron is used in Ayurveda to relax the nerves, aiding restful sleep at night.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups almond milk (buy or make it yourself: Yoom recipe here)

  • 3 pitted dates

  • 1 tablespoon ghee (or butter)

  • 1 tablespoon raw honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom

  • ¼ teaspoon saffron

  • ¼ teaspoon ashwagandha powder

 

Steps 

  1. In a small saucepan, warm the almond milk until warm, not boiling.

  2. Blend milk and all remaining ingredients until smooth.

  3. Pour into a mug and enjoy before bed.
